Mixed AC/DC Grids

In electrical networks, the interconnection of AC/DC grids is an important issue, as it will enable the association of SuperGrids (high voltage) with mixed AC/DC SmartGrids/MicroGrids (low voltage).
These topics are the subject of two joint PhD theses (one with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Germany and the other with the University of São Paulo - USP in Brazil).
