Dynamic Vehicle Charging
The charging of electric vehicles, especially heavy-duty vehicles, can be carried out continuously along the road (or certain sections of the road). This issue involves the nonlinear control of converters and a MicroGrid with an unknown and time-varying load. This MicroGrid will also be connected to the SmartGrid, which will integrate surrounding renewable energies. This topic is being pursued in partnership with the Vedecom Institute, within the European projects VERA and INCIT-EV, and is the subject of a PhD thesis and an exchange with the Federal University of Itajubá in Brazil (visit to Université Gustave Eiffel by Professor Eliane Valenca Nascimento, who works on the interaction between dynamic charging and the surrounding electrical grid).
